Rooms and Booking
There are options for Single, Double, Triple, and Quad rooms.
There are 4 room types: Interior, Ocean View, Balcony, Suite.
There is a reserved quantity of Single and Double rooms. Tripe and Quad rooms are available on request, but payment has to be confirmed by <22-Jan-2015>.
The bed arrangements will depend on your room type. In general, there are single and shared bed options for each room type. Contact the travel agent for details.
Example: a double room is available as two twins or two twin beds pushed together to make a king
Sharing a Room with Strangers (don't take that the wrong way!)
For each non-related (not family) person sharing a room, you need to pay a US$250 deposit via Credit Card and complete a Cruise Customer Profile form to confirm the room.
The forms are available on request from Catherine.
Each passenger should indicate the persons they are travelling with in the Spouse/Companion Name & Birthdate field of the form
Getting a Room as a family
If you're travelling as a family, then there only needs to be a single form and single US$250 deposit. (note: you should still clarify with the travel agent)
Keep in mind that the space is pretty small on a Cruise ship!
Example: a quad room usually has 2 single beds, and 2 upper pullmans, and 3 closet spaces. Watch out for falling people on a rocky ocean!
Here is an example picture of a quad room — http://www.cruise.co.uk/cruise-blogs/cruisewithjohn/wp-content/uploads/sites/35/2014/05/Pullman-Bunks.jpg
Recommendation
It is recommended that families get a room that is appropriately sized to get everyone comfortable.
For people sharing rooms, it's recommended to get a double room to ease the coordination burden. Find one other person who is willing to share a room with you, and submit a joint application (2 sets of forms) to the travel agent.
